Mortar grinders reduce inorganic and organic substances to analytical fineness. They can mix and homogenize powders, suspensions and pastes. Grinders are also useful for the uniform trituration of homeopathic and pharmaceutical products.
The RM100 is a dust-tight closed comminution system that can be used for wet or dry grinding. The RM100 has a useful volume of 10 to 150 mL and can produce a final fineness of <10 µm. Maximum feed size depends on the properties of the material and is approximately 8 mm. Users can choose from seven different grinding set materials for neutral to analysis sample preparation. Sample or grinding additives can be added during operation via the Plexiglas window. Users can set grinding time for 0 to 60 minutes or set for continuous operation. Reproducible results can be achieved by adjustment of the pestle pressure and timer.
The KM100 mortar grinder is for loss free wet or dry grinding of batches up to 300 mL. Depending on the degree of hardness, material with a particle size up to 10 mm can be processed and a grind size of <20 µm can be achieved. Users can choose from five different grinding set materials for neutral to analysis sample preparation. Sample additions and timing options are the same as the RM100
