Continuous duty
- High-frequency induction, Tesla-type coil, with one end of secondary attached to a metal electrode
- Point of leakage is indicated by a bright spot where discharge enters evacuated glass assembly
Can be used for exciting Geissler tubes, but intended for intermittent use only, for periods of up to 4 minutes, followed by at least 5 minutes “off” between periods of use. Output is 10,000-50,000 Volts at a frequency of three to four megahertz. Plastic housing is approximately 254 mm long x 51 mm diameter. Overall length: 356 mm. Adjusting screw controls spark intensity. With two-wire cord and plug.
- Generates softer spark for testing thin-walled vacuum glassware and light insulation without puncturing
9675L13 operates on same voltage as 9657L10, but at frequencies of 4 to 5 megahertz. Transformer housing dimensions: 194 x 86 x 108 mm high overall. Furnished with three-wire connecting cord and plug for 120 Volts, 50/60 Hz, AC only.
