Application: UltraCat is excellent for CM (cross metathesis) of terminal, type 1 olefins and excellent for ethenolysis. The catalyst is also very good for mRCM (macrocyclic ring-closing metathesis) and RCM (ring closing metathesis) leading to small/medium rings. Reactions can be run at 40 to 85 C. The following reaction solvents are compatible: toluene, ethyl acetate, dimethylcarbonate, CPME (cyclopentyl methyl ether), and neat substrate.
