The IRiM is a device used to transmit data stored on an instrument’s internal memory to a PC using either infrared technology or a serial connection. The data can then be saved as an Excel® spreadsheet or as a .txt file. Being able to store and transmit data ensures easy and accurate record keeping.
The IRiM is compatible with the following Lovibond Instruments:
- MC500 Multi-Parameter Colorimeter using Infrared technology
- SC450 Series of Single Parameter Colorimeters using Infrared technology
- TB300-IR Infrared Lab Turbidimeter using a serial connection
- SP600 Spectrophotometer using a serial connection
Instrument supplied with:
- USB cable
- 4 batteries
- Screwdriver
- IRiM Software
- Operating instructions & guarantee certificate
How It Works:
- Connect the IRiM to your PC using the provided USB cable and turn the IRiM on
- Open the Photometer Data Acquisition program (previously installed on you
- computer) and select the format that you would like your data to be exported (either as either an Excel® spreadsheet or as a .txt file)
- If using Infrared technology to transmit data (MC500 or SC450)
- align the instrument’s infrared data port with the infrared port on the IRiM. If using a serial connection (TB300-IR, SP600, or Oxi700)
- connect one end of the instrument’s serial cable to the instrument and the other end to the serial port on the IRiM.
- Set your instrument to transmittance mode (instructions for this will vary depending on the instrument, please refer to the instrument’s instruction manual for more details) and begin transmitting the stored data.
- Watch as your data is exported and your selected file type is populated!
