InTray DM FungID prepared plated culture media serves as a microbiology sample collection, transport, and culture device. Its enriched selective medium detects dermatophyte fungi from clinical specimens with mixed microbiota to develop distinct colony growth. Producing typical identifying characteristics both macro and microscopically. Engineered to be selective for positive growth of 9 strains of dermatophytes — while inhibiting the growth of both gram-positive and gram negative bacteria.
